Arizona & Ohio, USA, 16th February 2021, ZEXPRWIRE – Because COVID-19 has disproportionately impacted the brain health of vulnerable populations – aging adults, care partners, and individuals with dementia – Arizona-based Musical Memory Care and Ohio-based Virtual Brain Health Center (VBHC) have teamed up, for the first time, in a FREE, weeklong and nation-wide, live streaming brain health event during global Brain Awareness Week, March 15-21, 2021.
“Providers of community-based services and long-term care are amongst the worst impacted as they grapple with social care service provisions during this global pandemic,” says Dr. Krystal Culler, DBH, M.A., founder and creative director of the Virtual Brain Health Center. “As a result, we are thrilled to provide the ultimate in brain health and wellness services virtually; and I look forward to teaming up with Musical Memory Care during this inaugural series of programming to offer these services.”
Free workshops, lectures, and sessions, facilitated by multiple collaborative partners, will be offered three-times daily, Monday through Sunday, during this awareness week. The inaugural event, hosted by VBHC, will be divided into three categories: 30-minute physical activities with mindful fitness experts; 45-60-minute cognitive engagement-based lectures with industry experts; and 30-45-minute personal, well-being programs with expert practitioners who will share information about the impact brain science has on people’s lives. Sessions will occur daily at 11 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m. EST. All are welcome to attend. Registration is required at Brain Awareness Week-2021.
Says Shannon Wallace, CDP, B.A., and founder and CEO of Musical Memory Care, “I and my workshop program are delighted to be partnering with Dr. Culler and the VBHC for an innovative, nation-wide, and unprecedented week filled with mindful content that advocates for and supports brain wellness of families, individuals, care partners, and providers.”
Launched November 2020, the Virtual Brain Health Center aims to offer a practical solution to the communities by addressing brain health, memory care, and wellness programs. Driven by the vision to provide purpose for brain health optimization, the VBHC offers practical solutions that augment brain wellness through online services.
